Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (abbreviated as PCP) is a professional body responsible for the registration of pharmacists and promotion of pharmacyeducation in the country.The PharmacyCouncil Pakistan (PCP) is the regulator established in terms of thePharmacy Act, 1967 to regulate pharmacists, pharmacy support personnel andpharmacy premises in Pakistan.Our mandate is to protect, promote and maintainthe health, safety and well being of patients and the public who usepharmaceutical services in Pakistan.
==Objectives==
The objectives of the PCP are to regulate the pharmacy education in the Country for the purpose of registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1967.The pharmacy education objectives regarding the curriculum of Doctor of Pharmacy Course shall be to prepare a health caring and community oriented pharmacist who is competent to deal with the common health and pharmaceutical problems of the people in a scientifically sound and cost-effective manner using appropriate technology and holistic approach They also regulate the Profession and Practice of Pharmacy.The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) in its meeting held on 1.10.2010 has approved the Prefix word, Dr, for the Pharmacists holding Pharm D degree.
